Most AI advice you've heard came from someone who's never walked your floor. This is the opposite of that. Spend a day with us onsite, walking your line and meeting your people, and get a written report that names specific opportunities, with the dollar math and the implementation order.
The whole point of a Plant Walk is that the work product is grounded in your actual operation. Not a template, not a generic framework, not a Zoom call.
Pay a $2,500 deposit to lock the date. We schedule the walk within 2–4 weeks. You get a short pre-call (30 min) to align on what to look at, who we'll talk to, and what's off-limits. NDAs welcome. We sign whatever your legal team requires.
We arrive ready to walk. A typical day: morning floor walk with you and your floor leads, observe 3–5 stations or workflows live, sit with admins/foremen/dispatchers to see the paperwork side, lunch + debrief, afternoon deeper dives on the highest-value opportunities. We take notes; you don't have to prepare anything.
Within 7 calendar days you receive a written AI Opportunity Report. 5–8 prioritized opportunities tied to specific stations and workflows we observed, with annual dollar modeling, tool recommendations, and a 90-day implementation order. Yours to keep, with no obligation to continue.
Six sections. Every line tied to something specific we observed on your floor: your stations, your roles, your workflows.
What we saw: your line layout, the workflows that produce most of your throughput, where the time and paperwork gravitate. Anchor for everything else in the report.
Each opportunity is named to a specific station, workflow, or role we observed, not a generic category. Includes the current state, the AI solution, the implementation effort, and a recommended owner on your team.
Hours saved per week × your blended labor rate, throughput gains valued at your margin, error/rework reductions valued at average rework cost. We show the math, then your CFO can pressure-test it.
Every identified opportunity plotted on one page. Lets you see which moves are quick wins, which are bigger plays, and which to defer. Useful for sequencing your next 6–12 months.
For each opportunity, the specific off-the-shelf AI tools we'd recommend, sized for your operation and matched to your existing tech stack. Includes pricing, integration notes, and risk flags.
What to do first, second, third. Built so an internal owner (your ops manager or a department lead) can run the first 30 days without us. If you want help executing, that's where Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Fractional CAIO comes in. No pressure either way.
If you have signing authority on a $5K project and an operation worth walking, this is for you. The CEO doesn't need to be in the loop for you to start.
Running a fab, a shop, a line. You know exactly where time leaks and where the rework is. You don't need a strategy deck. You need somebody who'll walk it with you and write down what's actually possible.
Running ops across multiple sites or one large site. AI vendors won't stop pitching you. You want a credible read on what's real and what's not, and a written deliverable you can act on or hand to your CEO.
"Floor" for you means jobsites, takeoff/estimating offices, and dispatch. We'll walk the office side and a representative job. If you have multiple active sites, we pick one: the one that drives most of your revenue or most of your pain.
You manage throughput and overhead on a tight budget. AI is the next lever you have to pull, but you don't have time to evaluate every vendor. We'll bring the perspective and a fixed deliverable. No retainer trap.
$5,000 base fee. Travel billed at cost: flights, hotel, ground, per diem, with receipts. No retainer, no commitment beyond the walk.

Almost every "AI assessment" in market today is done from a Zoom call and a survey. Our opinion: that produces generic findings. The Plant Walk exists because what you can see in 4 hours on your floor beats 20 hours of slide-deck strategy.
The founder spent 23 years at Intel in fab manufacturing operations management, R&D engineering leadership, and HR leadership at scale. He has personally walked floors and managed throughput at a level of complexity most consultants haven't seen.
You leave the engagement with a written document. Specific. Numbered opportunities. Annual dollar math. You can hand it to your team or your CEO. You can act on it without us. We'd rather you find $200K of opportunity and run with it than be locked into a retainer you don't need.
Both deliver a written AI strategy report. The Plant Walk is onsite and observation-based. The AI Business Assessment is remote and conversation-based. Use this table to pick.

A typical Plant Walk runs about 7 hours onsite: a 2-hour morning floor walk across 3 to 5 representative stations, late-morning time with admins and foremen, a working-lunch debrief, afternoon deep dives on the top 2 to 3 opportunities, and a 30-minute end-of-day wrap.
Morning: floor walk with you and your floor leads watching 3 to 5 representative stations or workflows. Late morning: time with admins, foremen, dispatchers, or schedulers, wherever the paperwork side of the operation lives. Working lunch debrief with you. Afternoon: deeper dives on the 2 to 3 highest-value opportunities we surfaced in the morning, plus any specific questions you want us to chase. End-of-day: 30-minute wrap with you on what we saw and what to expect in the report.
Cost-plus, no markup. We book economy flights, mid-tier hotel, ground transport, and standard per-diem, with all receipts attached to the final invoice. Typical out-of-pocket: $800 to $1,800 for a US round-trip. International is quoted separately.
If your operation is in the Phoenix metro or Sun Belt, travel frequently comes in at the low end.
Sweet spot is operations doing $10M to $100M in annual revenue, or single sites with 50 to 500 employees. Smaller than that and the $1,000 AI Business Assessment is a better fit. Larger than that and we move straight to a Tier 1 or Tier 2 engagement scoped across multiple sites.
If you're not sure, just call.
Yes. Send us your standard NDA before the walk and we'll have it back signed within 48 hours. If you don't have one and want one, we can provide a mutual NDA.
We've never had a problem with anyone's standard form.
At minimum: you, plus 1 to 2 floor leads or department leads we can shadow during the walk. The CEO does not need to be present. The Plant Walk is built for ops decision-makers who can authorize next steps without escalation.
Helpful but not required: someone from finance or admin who can speak to the paperwork side, and one of your foremen or shift leads.
A standard Plant Walk is one day, one site. Multiple sites are quoted separately. Most operators get 80% of the value from walking the highest-volume site or the one causing the most pain, so a single-site walk is usually the right starting point.
We can recommend which site once we've talked.
If you read the report and don't see at least $50,000 in identifiable annual opportunity, we do a free follow-up working session to dig deeper. We've never had to honor that, but the offer stands. There is no money-back refund on the day onsite because the work happens regardless.
Most ops leaders take the report and run with the first 1 to 2 quick wins on their own. Some hand it to a Tier 1 or Tier 2 engagement so we execute alongside them. Some bring us in as a Fractional Chief AI Officer for ongoing strategy. The Plant Walk is a one-shot deliverable with no obligation to continue.
If we're a good fit for the next phase, you'll know it from the report.
The $1,000 AI Business Assessment is remote: a 20-minute voice interview produces a custom report in 48 hours. The Plant Walk is onsite: a full day in your operation produces a deeper, observation-based report in 7 days. Same architecture, different depth.
Most $10M+ ops leaders go straight to the Plant Walk; smaller businesses start with the Assessment.
$5,000 + travel cost-plus. $2,500 to book. Balance due 7 days before the walk. No retainer, no commitment beyond the day onsite.
